By using the WooCommerce Importer app in your Shopify store, you can migrate from WooCommerce to Shopify with ease.
Store Importer can migrate products, categories, customers and orders.
Products
Easily migrate your WooCommerce products, including titles, descriptions, images, variants, prices, inventory levels, and other essential details. SEO-friendly URL redirects are automatically created to ensure that customers and search engines can still find your products on Shopify, helping maintain your search rankings and prevent broken links.
Additionally, meta data and custom fields (metafields) from WooCommerce are transferred when possible. This ensures that extra product details, such as size guides, technical specifications, or custom attributes, are preserved in Shopify. Metafields can be useful for advanced filtering, detailed product pages, or third-party integrations, giving you full control over your store’s data.
Categories
Your WooCommerce product categories are converted into Shopify collections, keeping your store’s structure organized. Shopify does not use a strict category system like WooCommerce, but by converting them into collections, we ensure that your products remain easy to browse. If your WooCommerce categories had descriptions or images, those are transferred as well.
Customers
Import your entire customer database, including names, email addresses, phone numbers, and shipping details. Their order history is also transferred so you retain valuable insights into past purchases. Shopify will automatically send an account activation email, allowing customers to create a password and access their profiles in your new store.
Orders
Migrate all WooCommerce orders, including order numbers, customer details, purchased products, payment status, and fulfillment information. If you’re still running your old store while setting up Shopify, you can choose to import only recent orders or those since your last migration. This keeps your data up to date while avoiding duplicate orders.
Coupons
Convert WooCommerce coupons into Shopify discount codes, ensuring your existing promotions remain intact. Our migration supports percentage-based discounts and fixed-amount discounts. If your WooCommerce coupons had expiration dates or usage limits, we apply those settings to Shopify as well.
Reviews
Migrate product reviews to Shopify to maintain valuable customer feedback. Reviews are imported in a format that works with popular Shopify review apps, ensuring they appear correctly on your product pages. Keeping your reviews helps build trust and social proof, increasing conversions in your new store.
Pages & Blog Posts
Transfer your WooCommerce pages and WordPress blog posts seamlessly. Pages such as "About Us," "Contact," and "FAQ" are recreated in Shopify, keeping your content intact. Blog posts are imported as articles and automatically assigned to Shopify blogs based on their original categories, ensuring a structured and organized migration.
Pages and posts in Wordpress are complex. They might rely on third-party plugins and might not be transferred exactly the same.
Theme
What we can't migrate is your theme. Themes are very complex and there are thousands of variations. Most migrations from WooCommerce use a theme from the Shopify theme store. There are free themes available and they all come with a customizer.
