How to migrate WooCommerce to Shopify (step-by-step)
This guide shows you how to migrate your WooCommerce store to Shopify.
You can move your products, customers, orders and more without losing data.
Most migrations take only a few steps.
What is migrated
We migrate your store data to Shopify, including:
- Products
- Customers
- Orders
- Coupons
- Categories (as collections - see how this works)
- Product metadata (metafields)
- Pages and blog posts
Most stores are migrated completely without manual work.
Step 1 - Install the WooCommerce Importer app
Install the WooCommerce Importer Shopify app in your Shopify store.
This app handles the migration automatically.
Step 2 - Create API keys in WooCommerce
To connect your WooCommerce store, you need API keys.
Follow this guide:
→ How to create WooCommerce API keys
Step 3 - Connect your WooCommerce store
Enter your store URL and API keys in the app.
Once connected, you can choose what data to import.
Step 4 - Run a demo migration (recommended)
You can test the migration for free with:
- Up to 100 products
- Up to 50 customers, orders and coupons
This helps you see how your data will look in Shopify.
Pricing depends on how many products and orders you have.
→ See WooCommerce Importer pricing
Step 5 - Run the full migration
Once you're happy with the demo, start the full migration.
The app will import your data into Shopify automatically.
What happens after migration
After the migration:
- Products are available in Shopify
- Categories become collections
- Customers and orders are imported
- URLs are redirected to keep SEO
You can review everything before going live.
